I would like to comment on the Draft General Plan 2040, specifically re the Resort designation at Mahukona.
I strongly urge you to remove the resort designation from the map, shown on p. 185.
The reason is that the North Kohala Community Development Plan calls for the purchase of four coastal properties, ix
the land between Mahukona and Kapa'a Parks for public use with the 2% Open Space Fund. Keep Kohala, Kohala.
