I would like to comment on the Hawaii County Draft General Plan 2040, specifically re the Resort designafion'it Mal
I strongly urge you to remove the resort and the surrounding low density urban designation from the map,: hown on F

The reasons are the Public Access, Open Space and Natural Resources Commission(PONC)has listed tfie7lands betw
two parks high on its annual list ofpriority purchases using the Open Space Fund for 12 years, and wording in the n(
General Plan is so coastal friendly it would prohibit building a resort and gated community at Mahukona if t
were to apply for the designation today. A lack of self-consistency within the document.
