Subject: Remove Mahukona, Kohala from General Plan 2040
Dear Members of Planning Dept.
I'm asking you to please change the zoning of Mahukona Beach Park and surrounding acreage from Resort
designation to open space. We need this buffer from the many resorts on our southerly coast.
It's important for our community to have a non-resort zoning here, we use this area extensively for
recreation, etc. Mahalo
