I'm a resident of Kohala been resident for 27 years my name is I would like to make a comment about
the general plan concerning the zoning issues for hotels and resorts to be built on the coast near the Mahukona pavilion
and I am completely against it in the sense that it would destroy, as I know it and I've lived and experienced it,the scenic
route from Kawaihae to Hawi which in my opinion the scenic route especially during the time of the whale watching and
this is seasonal of course but that open area will not be open anymore if people start building resorts and hotels and golf
courses and then we're looking at that and not looking at the ocean which is what makes it such a beautiful scenic
Highway. Please remit the laws concerning the future building of resorts and hotels in the area between Kawaihae and
Kona.
