Subject: WHY ARE YOU NOT SHUTTING DOWN HU HONUA now?
Many of us agree completely with this statement. Our
actions do not end with words. There will be legislative
battles, court battles and election consequences.
Plantation Days are over.

Dear Planning Commission,
Please acknowledge our urgent concerns in Ninole about burning wood 5 miles upwind of our homes. This
is definitely going to lower our property values while giving us unhealthy air to breath.
Please NO BURNing on the Hamakua coast.
Burn the trees on Oahu where they are accustomed to breathing bad air.
I have lived along the Hamakua coast since 1978. Back then we prayed that the toxic burning ofthe sugar cane
would end and in 1995 it stopped. Now you want to put smoke in the air once again?
And don't forget the acknowledged TONS of diesel particulate pollution.
Shame on you for considering this. Not pono. The mainland rich do not
control this Island.
