WE NEED LAND USE ZONING TO BE CHANGED TO "MDU"-(Medium Density Urban)
My husband, and I moved here to "Discovery Harbour" in early 2000.The golf course was still up and running. We
paid $61.00 per month to golf. When the golf course was sold that same year, it was purchased by a firm out of Honolulu

He managed to get him to let people golf, providing they made a donation (designated amount not
given). The donations were to go to local "Youth Groups". Golfers came to the golf course clubhouse, gave the
donations then went out to golf. I have all of the records! also voluntarily maintained the grounds as best as he
could and did any work that needed to be done. passed away in January of 2010. Some of the golfers stepped up
and to this day are basically still maintaining the golf course all on a volunteer basis as best as they can. In two months it
will be January 2020. 20-years this has been going on. It is time for a change!
In 2008 the golf course was sold to the current owner-South Point Investment Group-You have their Plans for
development. We need to have development move forward to keep our Community from dying.
