I am writing to say that I do not support a rezoning of lands in Discovery Harbor to to allow for a resort or other large;•}''4' =
scale development to be build in the area. This idea is problematic because it would change the rural character of not 2sr
only Discovery Harbor but also the neighboring communities of Naalehu,Waiohinu, Mark Twain,and South Point. Mpg_
people live in Ka'u because they value the rural lifestyle and the relatively low impact that the mass tourism industry-has
on this area. Furthermore neither the roads nor the availability of water in Ka`u are adequate to support a large resort
in Discovery Harbor. These factors should be given due consideration.
