CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: July 3, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Uri IT -3 FINVITITTANTA <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Friday, July 3rd <br />On today's update of COVID-19, the number of active cases monitored by the <br />Department of Health, on Hawaii Island, is three. Of this, one is hospitalized. All three <br />are travel related which emphasizes the importance of caution of traveling. <br />For your information, an 'ohana food service is scheduled for today in South Kohala at <br />the Waimea District Park. Distribution begins at 10:00 am. Thank you Hawaii Food <br />Basket and their contributors for providing this service and the Hawaii National Guard, <br />Sherriff's Department, and County Task Force for helping. <br />As reported, the majority of states in our country continue to see an increase of large <br />numbers of people being infected by the Coronavirus. Know how good Hawaii is and <br />how important it is to keep Hawaii safe by everyone following the preventive policies of <br />face coverings, distancing, gatherings, and cleanliness. <br />On this Fourth of July Weekend, do take extra care in protecting yourself, your family, <br />your friends, and your community to keep Hawaii safe. <br />Thank you for listening and a Happy Fourth of July to you. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />
