Use Permit No. 5
The Planning Commission held a public hearing on July 1, 1971 on the appli-
cation of JAS. W. GLOVER, LTD. for a use permit in accordance with Section 37,
Ordinance No. 63 of the Revised Ordinances of the County of Hawaii 1967, as amended,
for the storage of explosives at the present Jas. W. Glover, Ltd. quarry site located
in Waiakea, South Hilo, Hawaii, Tax Map Key 2-1-12:4.
The Commission finds:
1. The storage of explosives is an essential part of the quarrying operation.
2. Its proximity to the quarry area makes it readily accessible to serve the
needs of the operation.
Therefore, the Commission hereby grants to the applicant a use permit to allow
the storage of explosives at the present Jas. W. Glover, Ltd. quarry site pursuant
to the authority vested in it by Section 37 of said Ordinance on the condition that:
1. The storage of explosives be confined to the two existing buildings.
2. All of the applicable regulations be complied with.
The effective
date of
this permit shall
be
from
July 1, 1971.
