Hoffeld (Hoffeld), Marilyn Lee (Lee), Deja Ostrowski (Ostrowski), <br />Terri Ann Motosue (Motosue), Stacey Moniz (Moniz) <br />Excused: Kaua'i Commissioner - Vacant <br />Public: Farrah -Marie Gomes, Chair, Hawaii County Committee on the Status of Women <br />Staff: Khara Jabola-Carlous (Jabola-Carolus) <br />I. Public Comment <br />a. No public comment via written testimony. <br />II. Executive Director's Report <br />A. Khara Jabola-Carolus - NACW Conference July 19-22, 2020 in Leesburg, Virginia - <br />CANCELED. <br />1. HSCSW will pay the annual membership NACW registration for each county: <br />a. County of Hawaii Committee on the Status of Women ($100) <br />b. County of Maui Committee on the Status of Women ($100) <br />c. County of Kaua'i Committee on the Status of Women ($100) <br />d. County of Honolulu Committee on the Status of Women ($200) <br />2. Farrah- Marie Gomes will check on the budget and if the amount is okay for <br />HSCSW to pay their NACW annual dues. <br />B. Legislation <br />1. Supplemental budget - Items are being reviewed if no funding attached. <br />2. Session will restart in June. <br />C. Budget updates <br />1. HSCSW budget has about $300 which will go to bills. <br />D. Safety Issues for Survivors of Assault <br />1. There is concern about the early release of individuals charged <br />sexual assault, including first degree sexual assault other sexual violence -related crimes <br />such as violation of privacy, have been granted COVID=19 "humanitarian" release. <br />III. Executive Session <br />A. The Commission went into Executive Session to discuss Jabola-Carolus's appointment as <br />Executive Director which has been extended for another two years to June 30, 2022. <br />VII. Announcements - None <br />VII. Adjournment - 5:01pm <br />
