This is a Civil Defense message.
This is a COVID-19 informational update for Sunday, July 12th
On today's update of COVID-19, the number of active cases, monitored by the
Department of Health, is eight. The most recent increase has been identified as travel
related. You are reminded of the need for caution of travel.
It is so very important that everyone continues to follow the preventive policies of face
coverings, distancing, gatherings, and cleanliness. As a reminder, wearing of face
coverings is mandatory on Hawaii Island.
In moving forward, know that the Coronavirus threat remains and we need to get better
in following the prevention measures to keep Hawaii safe. All of these policies have
one purpose — to help stop the spread of the Coronavirus.
