<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: July 13, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 08:00 AM <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />th <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Monday, July 13. <br />On today’s update of COVID-19, the number of active cases, monitored by the <br />Department of Health, is eight. Of this, two are new cases and identified as travel <br />related. An active case is defined as an individual who has tested positive for the <br />Coronavirus and is presently monitored by the Department of Health. <br />It is so important that in traveling to the mainland, or hosting someone from the <br />mainland, that you exercise caution. Know that the conditions in most of the mainland <br />states continue to see a high rate of increases of people being infected by the virus. <br />In moving forward, know that the Coronavirus threat for Hawaii remains and we need to <br />follow preventive policies of face coverings, distancing, gatherings and cleanliness. As <br />a reminder wearing of face coverings is mandatory on Hawaii Island. <br />For your information, a drive up testing is scheduled today in North Kona at the <br />Keauhou Shopping Center. Hours are from 9:00 this morning ‘til 12:00 noon. Thank <br />you Alii Health for providing this service and the Hawaii National Guard and County <br />Task Force for helping. <br />Thank you for listening and thank you for doing your part to help keep Hawaii Island <br />safe. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />
