COVID-19 MODIFIED POOLRULES
OPERATING UNDER MODIFIED SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS OF FACILITY ENTRY
All persons shall:
Not exhibit any of the following symptoms:
Fever or chills
Nausea or vomiting
Diarrhea
Cough
Congestion or runny nose
Muscle or body aches
Fatigue
New loss of taste or smell
Headache
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Sore throat
Not have open wounds/sores,contagious disease, or active diarrhea within 14
days.
Submit to a temporal scan for determination of their body temperature.
Not be allowed entry with a body temperature of 100.4°F or higher.
Always wear a face mask/covering per CDC guidelines on premises.
Provide full name and a contact phone number for recordation by staff.
Sanitize hands.
CONDITIONS OF FACILITY USE Compliance is mandatory:
6-feet of physical separation from pool staff and other patrons shall ALWAYS be
maintained to the maximum extent practicable.
Face mask/covering shall ALWAYS be worn except when swimming.
Personal items shall only be placed at designated areas. County shall NOT be
responsible for the security or loss of such items.
All swimmers shall shower at designated location prior to entering pool. Use of
shampoo/soap is NOT permitted.
Spectator areas/seating and locker rooms are closed/off-limits.
Restroom access shall be provided ONLY upon request.
Shower use is NOT permitted for post-swim rinsing or bathing.
Loitering on pool deck or at entrances/exits is NOT permitted.
SWIMMING POOL USE RULES:
Only individual lap swimming is permitted with reasonable accommodations
provided for disabled patrons. Team/club use is not allowed.
Swimmers must remain in their assigned pool lane.
Swimmers must be comfortable swimming in deep water.
Swimmers may be accompanied into the facility by not more than one (1) caregiver,
parent/guardian or responsible adult
Swimmers must exit the water immediately at their designated time and exit the
facility in an orderly, purposeful and timely manner.
Penalty provisions:
Pursuant to Hawai‘i Revised Statutes Section 127A-29, any person violating
these rules shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, fined not more
than $5,000 or imprisoned for not more than one year, or both.
