Incident: Coronavirus Update <br /> This is a Civil Defense message. <br /> This is a COVID-19 informational update for Saturday, August 1St <br /> On today's update of COVID-19 the number of active cases for Hawaii Island stands at zero. At <br /> this date for Hawaii Island no one is hospitalized. The one hospitalized patient reported over <br /> the past weeks is well. <br /> For your information COVID Free Hawaii will be providing testing every Saturday at Kona Target <br /> from 9 to 11 in the morning. Thank you S&G Labs Hawaii and CovidFreeHawaii for providing <br /> this service. <br /> Do understand that many states are continuing to experience increased numbers of <br /> Coronavirus cases and the threat is still out there. Hawaii County continues to do very <br /> well. The citizens of Hawaii County should be congratulated but know the importance of <br /> following the preventive measures of face coverings, distancing, gatherings, cleanliness, and <br /> keeping yourself healthy and of staying at home when sick. Thank you for making the effort to <br /> keep our neighbors, friends, family, and community safe. We must all continue to get better to <br /> keep us safe. The County Task Force continues its efforts seven days-a-week of disinfecting <br /> and cleaning highly used public areas. This and other programs will continue until the virus is <br /> no longer a threat. <br /> As a reminder, do know the wearing of face masks is mandatory on the Island of Hawaii. <br /> Thank you for listening, keep up the good work and have a safe weekend. <br /> This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />
