<br />CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: August 1, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE Time: 08:00 AM <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br /> Update #: 1 <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />st <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Saturday, August 1. <br />On today’s update of COVID-19 the number of active cases for Hawaii Island stands at <br />zero. At this date for Hawaii Island no one is hospitalized. The one hospitalized patient <br />reported over the past weeks is well. <br />For your information COVID Free Hawaii will be providing testing every Saturday at <br />Kona Target from 9 to 11 in the morning. Thank you S&G Labs Hawaii and <br />CovidFreeHawaii for providing this service. <br />Do understand that many states are continuing to experience increased numbers of <br />Coronavirus cases and the threat is still out there. Hawaii County continues to do very <br />well. The citizens of Hawaii County should be congratulated but know the importance of <br />following the preventive measures of face coverings, distancing, gatherings, <br />cleanliness, and keeping yourself healthy and of staying at home when sick. Thank you <br />for making the effort to keep our neighbors, friends, family, and community safe. We <br />must all continue to get better to keep us safe. The County Task Force continues its <br />efforts seven days-a-week of disinfecting and cleaning highly used public areas.
