CIVIL DEFENSE AGENCY Date: August 3, 2020 <br />MEDIA UPDATE <br />Incident: Coronavirus Update <br />This is a Civil Defense message. <br />Uri IT -3 FINVITITTANTA <br />Radio Frequency: Every 2 Hours <br />Update #: 1 <br />This is a COVID-19 informational update for Monday, August 3rd <br />On today's update of COVID-19, the number of active cases for Hawaii Island is one. <br />This increase of one is travel related which emphasizes the importance of exercising <br />caution of traveling. At this date, for Hawaii Island, no one is hospitalized. An active <br />case is defined as an individual who has tested positive for the Coronavirus and is <br />presently monitored by the Department of Health. <br />For your information, a drive through testing is scheduled today for North Kona at the <br />Keauhou Shopping Center. Hours are from 9:00 in the morning `til noon. Thank you <br />Alii Health for providing this service and the Hawaii National Guard and County Task <br />Force for helping. S&G Labs is also offering testing Monday through Friday at the Pines <br />Plaza Shopping Mall in Kailua-Kona. Hours are from 8:30 `til 11:00 in the morning. <br />Do understand that many states are continuing to experience increased numbers of <br />Coronavirus cases, including the State of Hawaii. Hawaii County continues to do very <br />well, but do know that the threat is still out there. Know the importance of continuing to <br />follow the preventive measures of face coverings, cleanliness, keeping yourself healthy, <br />of staying at home when sick, and special care of gatherings and distancing. Your help <br />is so needed to keep Hawaii safe. Thank you for making the effort to keep our <br />neighbors, friends, family, and community safe. We must all do our part. <br />As a reminder, do know the wearing of face masks is mandatory on the Island of <br />Hawaii. <br />Thank you for listening, have a productive and safe week. <br />This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />
