Incident: Coronavirus Update <br /> This is a Civil Defense message. <br /> This is a COVID-19 informational update for Saturday, August 8th <br /> On today's update of COVID-19, the number of active cases monitored by the <br /> Department of Health is ten. This is an increase of two new cases for the Island of <br /> Hawaii and monitored by the Department of Health. At this date for Hawaii Island, no <br /> one is hospitalized. <br /> For your information, there will be a drive-up Coronavirus testing at Civic Auditorium in <br /> Hilo today from 9 this morning to 1 this afternoon. Please access off Manono Street. <br /> Mahalo Premier Medical Group and the County Task Force for making this happen. <br /> The Island of Oahu has seen a large increase in the number of positive cases due to <br /> gatherings. We need your help in taking special care when socializing and gathering. <br /> Do know special events, such as concerts and all other large gatherings, do require a <br /> permit. <br /> Everyone must do their part by following the preventive measures of face coverings, <br /> cleanliness, keeping yourself healthy, of staying at home when sick, and distancing. <br /> Thank you for taking the effort to keep our neighbors, friends, family and community <br /> safe. <br /> As a reminder, do know the wearing of face masks is mandatory on the Island of Hawaii <br /> and please remember to vote. <br /> Thank you for listening, have a safe weekend. <br /> This is your Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency. <br />
