Based on the Mayor’s Proclamation regarding COVID- 19, these meetings will be online until further notice. This is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and to maintain social dis- tancing. DATE: Wednesday, October 14, 2020 TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PLACE: Live Stream Meeting – The public will be able to view and listen to the meeting. Page 2 of 3 SUBMITTING TESTIMONY A person desiring to submit written testimony shall indicate his/her name; address; and whether the testimony is on his/her behalf or as a representative of an organization or individual. If the testimony is being submitted on behalf of an organization, documenta- tion showing membership ratification should accompany the testimony. Public testi- mony can be submitted by mail or email. Public testimony submitted by mail, should be mailed to: Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commis- sion, 25 Aupuni St. Suite 1101, Hilo, Hawai‘i 96720. Mailed testimony should be received no later than 5 days before the next scheduled meeting, allow for mailing and thor- ough Commission review. Public testimony that is submitted by email to: ponctesti- mony@hawaiicounty.gov, should be submitted before 4:30 pm by October 8, 2020. NOTE: Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or language interpretation to access this meeting, please con- tact Commission Secretary, Maxine Cutler (808) 961-8069 as soon as possible, but no later than five days prior to the meeting date, to arrange for accom- modations. “Other reasonable modification” refers to communication methods or de- vices for people with disabilities who are mentally and/or physically challenged. NOTICE TO LOBBYISTS If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai‘i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai‘i County Code). A lobbyist means, “Any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials.” (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawai‘i County Code) Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Of- fice of the County Clerk-Council 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawai‘i 96720.
