Temporary Closure of Hilo Scrap Metal and Appliance drop off Services
The Scrap Metal and Appliance drop off area at the Hilo Transfer Station will be
closed on Wednesday, November 25, 2020. Scrap Metal and Appliance services should
reopen as regularly scheduled on Friday, November 27, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m.
All Solid Waste Facilities, which includes the Administrative Offices, Transfer Stations,
th
Landfill and Sort Station will be closed on Thursday, November 26 in observation of
Thanksgiving Day. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
