MEETING MINUTES
Wednesday, December 16, 2020
Via Teleconference
I.Chair Kami Bolster called the meeting to order at 9:37 a.m.

III. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Mihaela motioned to approve, Andrew seconded. Motion carried.
IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Action on November and December meeting minutes was deferred.
V. TREASURER'S REPORT
Reports were not made available to Treasurer. Action deferred.
VI. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
None. However, Anrdew invited a person to attend the meeting, but she was not
available. Andrew relayed that she was concerned about the lack of opportunity for
women to return to work. Also the concern for agencies to respond to workers vs. only
online availability. Farrah offered a link for her.
VII. CORRESPONDENCE
None
VIII. REPORTS
A. HSCSW Liaison Report
Kami reported for Cyd that there was no meeting until January 2021.
B. Family Violence Interagency Committee (FVIC)
No report.
IX. OLD BUSINESS
A. Teen Dating Violence
The printed Cell Phone cards were not what was expected. Mele moved to re -do
expenditure request and reorder cell phone cards. Mihaela seconded. Motion
carried.
Action Item: Mele to prepare revised expenditure request.
Action Item: Mele to send copy of distribution letter to new members.
B. Real Women Essay Contest
No update.
C. CSW Brochure
No distribution info.
Action Item: Mihaela to update the brochure with new members names and present at
the next meeting.
D. Family Service Directory
Tracking Log — Mihaela distributed 100 directories to the YWCA.
Action Item: Kami to contact Allen on updates to distribution data.
E. Human Trafficking
Evelyn Lee is interested in joining this committee. She shared how she has been
working with 9-10 graders in schools and their parents to address human trafficking
in the county.
F. Equal Pay
No formal proposal. Farrah suggested social media coverage by students.
G. Status of Women Report
Mihaela presented the final "The Status of Women in Hawaii County" Report. She
asked committee members to review and submit comments/recommendations to
her. Comments will be submitted through Goggle.docs.
Action Item: Farrah will set up the Google.docs link for the committee.
X. NEW BUSINESS
A. New members Evelyn Lee, Shana Logan, and Matapuna introduced themselves
and shared their interests and background. Existing members did the same.
XI. ANNOUNCEMENTS
Allen Bartolome, Special Projects Coordinator at the Prosecutor's will be our new liaison.
Action Item: Kami to entertain assignments of new members to committees at the next
meeting.
XII. ADJOURNMENT
Andrew moved to adjourn the meeting; Mihaela seconded. Motion passed to adjourn at
11:20 a.m. Next meeting on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 9:30 a.m.
