CALL TO ORDER Vice -Chair Mihaela Ryer called the meeting to order at 9:33AM. II. Discussion: Mihaela notified committee that she forgot to include voting or Recording Secretary to this agenda so she will include for April meeting. Motion approved. IV. APPROVAL OF MINUTES (February 17, 2020) Andy motioned to approve minutes. Mele seconded. No discussion. Motion approved. V. TREASURER'S REPORT A. Andrew received updated CSW Budget and he had nothing to report. No disbursement of funds in February. Continuing the string of nothing spent from September -February. There is $9,018 currently in our budget that must be spent by 6/30/2021. Mele motioned to approve the Treasurer's Report. Farrah seconded. No discussion. Motion approved. VI. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC None. VII. CORRESPONDENCE None. VIII. REPORTS A. State CSW Update • No report submitted. B. FVIC Update • No report submitted. C. 2021 Women's Legislative Caucus Virtual Breakfast • Power Point Presentation was sent to committee members. ACTION ITEM: Remove from Agenda IX. OLD BUSINESS A. Teen Dating Violence Mele sent information to to Allen for Teen Dating Violence Cell Phone Cards and followed up with him and he did not receive it so requested it be re -sent to him. ACTION ITEM: Mele re -send to Allen with card stock request. B. Real Women Essay Contest The sub -committee has not met since last meeting. All letters have gone out. No feedback has been received yet. We need to follow up with the groups County of Hawaii MITCHELL D. Farrah reported that Deborah Toledo- Ebero had 2 people from the Hamakua District that were participating. Matapuna will send out to her member programs. ACTION ITEM: Sub -committee will move forward with the request to purchase 45 Gift Cards. Sub -Committee set up meeting to discuss who will submit and when. Deadline is April 30th. Committee Member's please follow up with the groups and organizations that you are affiliated with. Mele reach out to Aunty Jesse in Ka'u for participation in that district. C. CSW Brochure Only waiting on the new Chair to be updated on brochure as well as the new Corresponding Secretary once voted on and then Mihaela will send the pdf to Allen for printing. Malia will follow up with Dianna to see if she found out if the CSW Committee could have a Website/Landing Page and/or a Social Media Page as a means of getting out information and contact info and found out the Mayors Office is working on a template for a landing page for Boards to have a space on the County website. They will send an update in a few weeks. ACTION ITEM: Mihaela update with new Chair and update with new Corresponding Secretary once voted on and send to Allen. Malia invite Pomaikai Bartolome (Executive Assistant to Mitch Roth) to one of our Meetings. E. Family Services Directory Shana distributed 150 copies to all Big Island Legislators. Farrah distributed 100 to Queen Liliuokalani Trust Hilo Office. Mele keeps the master distribution list updated and did not receive updated numbers from Allen. ACTION ITEM: Mele to follow up with Allen to get his distribution numbers to have the updated log ready for April meeting. Please include the log in the monthly meeting info. Farrah please send Evelyn Kahea Lee 150 more directories as well as please send Shana Logan 150 directories. F. Human Trafficking Sub -committee had no update to report. ACTION ITEM: Evelyn Kahea Lee set up meeting for Sub - Committee to meet before next meeting. Mihaela set up Zoom once meeting date is set. G. Equal Pay Received Project Rationale from Farrah Marie Gomes. She explained that we should do short and long videos to cater to different audiences. This will be open to all ages and you have to be a resident of Hawai'i Island. County of Hawaii MITCHELL D. (Vibrant Hawaii, AAUW, Zonta, etc.) Puna motioned to approve Project Rationale. Mele seconded. No discussion. Motion approved. Equal Pay. ACTION ITEM: Andy set up meeting with Sub -Committee before next meeting. H. Status of Women Report • Sub -Committee Update- Feedback was to include at the end policy suggestions for legislative action that we could help push forward. HB 1192 Equal Pay Bill died in 2019 +2020. HB 6776 raising state minimum wage to $12.00 in July 2022. Mele Spencer motioned to approve report and send out. Matapuna seconded. No discussion. Motion approved. ACTION ITEM: Mihaela and Mele Spencer will work on a Press Release to send out and send to Allen to submit report to the Mayor's office. Mihaela invite Prosecuting Attorney, Kelden Waltjen to attend CSW meeting. X. NEW BUSINESS A. Ma'i Movement- Farrah Marie Gomes sent the Project Rationale. They are in need of $2,490.00. Evelyn Kahea Lee motioned to approve the project. Brooke seconded. No discussion. Motion approved. ACTION ITEM: Decide if the Ma'i Movement Project should be its own sub -committee or not. Mihaela add to April Agenda. B. Nominating Corresponding Secretary- ACTION ITEM: Nominating Committee to meet and come up with slate for Corresponding Secretary. Mihaela add Corresponding Secretary nomination and vote to April Agenda. C. Revamping Sub -Committee's -discussed adding a PR/Outreach Sub -Committee and perhaps combining other Sub -Committee's. The Sub -Committee's need to be revamped to match our projects and mission. ACTION ITEM: Mihaela set up meeting with Executive Committee to come up with the Sub -Committee's to presented at the next meeting. XI. ANNOUNCEMENTS (relating to CSW)- Matapuna announced HSCADV annual state conference will be held virtually June 15-17, 2021. XII. ADJOURNMENT Mihaela motioned to adjourn meeting. Brooke seconded.
