REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF TIPPING FEES
Hawaii County Code Chapter 20, Article 4, Section 20-04-01(c):

The mayor may waive solid waste disposal fees when it is in the best interest of
the County. Fees may be waived for one-time events for community
organizations, nonprofit organizations, or private property owners who are
remediating illegal dump sites which were not of their creation. The mayor will
give notice to the council when tip fees are waived.

Note: If this request is approved, we will need specific information such as trucks involved,
license plate numbers, and dates for disposal. We will also ask for your help in reducing green
waste on site, recycling metals, and any other reductions for landfilling possible. This waiver
does not cover the disposal of tires. Any tires collected as part of your clean-up effort must be
disposed of with a permitted tire disposal contractor.
