6.2 Project Schedule
The North Kona SPS project is part of a portfolio of projects that will address water quality concerns
associated with the Kealakehe WWTP. A detailed schedule for the entire portfolio is included as
Appendix F. The North Kona SPS project appears at the end of the detailed schedule. A summary of
the preliminary project schedule is shown in Table 6-2 below. The next phase of the project includes
the environmental assessment and the Section 7 and 106 consultation processes. These activities
are projected to take approximately two years to complete, assuming the State Historic Preservation
Division review process is one-year and an archeological inventory survey is not required. The pump
station construction and start up is estimated to require approximately one year for completion.
The projected completion date for the North Kona Sewage Pump Station and Forcemain Project is
estimated to be in March 2024.
