AGENDA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVIEN of the following matters to be considered by the
Game Management Advisory Commission of the County of Hawai'i in accordance
with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, Hawai'i Revised Statutes, Section 6-
7.5(a) of the Charter of the County of Hawai'i, and the Commission's Rules of
Practice and Procedure.
Pursuant to Governor Ige's most recent proclamation, in order to
minimize physical contact and maximize social distancing, this
meeting will be conducted via Zoom.
DATE: Tuesday, May 18, 2021
TIME: 6:30 — 8:30 PM
PLACE: This meeting will be held by interactive video conference
through Zoom. The public may provide oral testimony at the
meeting by joining online or calling into the Zoom meeting. To
register for access to the Zoom meeting please provide your
email to Barbara. Kossow(a)-hawaiicounty_gov no later than
12:OOPM, Noon on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 23, 2021 meeting
3. FINANCIAL REPORT:
4. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS:
Statements from the public will be taken throughout the meeting.
5. PRESENTATIONS:
a. DLNR Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, Hawai'i District Manager
Jerome Nickerson will speak on the temporary closure of the Kailua Pier in
response to homelessness and illegal activities on site.
b. DLNR Division of Aquatic Resources, Aquatic Biologist Troy Sakihara will
discuss "Holomua: Marine 30X30," DAR's nearshore strategic plan to restore
marine resources.
6. OLD BUSINESS:
a. Shooting Range development update: Stanley Mendes will report on meeting
results with Mayor Roth.
7. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Discuss possible trapping programs to deal with over population of pigs and
goats in areas they are unwanted.

Executive Session: The Game Management Advisory Commission anticipates it may
convene in one or more executive sessions regarding the above matters listed on the
agenda, pursuant to HRS Sections 92-4 and 92-5 (a)(4), for the purpose of consulting
with the Board's attorney on questions and issues pertaining to the Commission's
powers, duties, privileges, immunities, and liabilities. A 2/3 vote pursuant to HRS
Section 92-4 is necessary to hold an executive session.
Anyone wishing to discuss an item that does not appear on the agenda should call the
commission secretary at 323-4444 or email Barbara. Kossow(U-)hawaiicounty.gov to have
the subject placed on the next available agenda.
Game Management Advisory Commission members only may be present at the Hawai'i
County Building, Office of the Mayor's Conference Room, 25 Aupuni, Hilo, HI 96720,
and the West Hawaii Civic Center, Mayor's Conference Room, 74-5044 Ane
Keohokalole Hwy., Bldg. C, 2nd Floor, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service, other reasonable modification, or
language interpretation to access this meeting please contact the Office of the Mayor at
323-4444 as soon as possible, but no later than five (5) working days prior to the meeting
date, to arrange for accommodations. If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the
Hawai'i County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist. {Article15, Section 2-
91.3(b), Hawaii County Code. "A lobbyist is any individual who is engaged for pay or
other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-
month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action
by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials."
