proposed exterior colors and materials. Notation of ground elevation with contour lines or selected spot
elevations is recommended. Earth tone colors are recommended. Color samples should be provided. If
reasonable and appropriate, samples of exterior building materials may be provided; and
(3) Location, design, and colors of proposed sign(s), if any.

Attached drainage study and associated information for the subject TMK as
required by Hawaii County Code, Chapter 25, Section 25-2-72 (3). Attachment 1
shows site location on Hawaii Island; map provided by the County of Hawaii
Storm Drainage Standard (SDS).
The parcel is in flood zone "X" as identified on the current Flood insurance Rate
Map (FIRM Community Panel Number 1551660738F).
Attachment 2 is a calculation of development generated runoff using the Rational
Equation, with rainfall intensity variable defined in accordance with SDS. The 10-
year, 1-hour storm is the design basis.
The proposed improvements, subject to Plan Approval, are provided as
Attachment 3, with specified drainage devices and typical detail (Attachment 4).
CODE: Runoff caused by the proposed development will not increase when
considering existing and pre-existing impermeable areas. The development shall
not alter the general drainage pattern above or below the development.

Summary: Increase of 0.57 (ft3/sec) must be contained within project area.
INSTALL: Seven (7) rock sumps as proposed by developer on plan. Rock
Sumps shall be located so that development generated runoff is directed away
from building foundation and towards each sump; Sumps shall dispose of all
development generated runoff through means of subsurface infiltration. See
attached for plan locations (NOTE: final location of sumps to be determined by
General Building Contractor). Voids in sumps are encouraged (use large
boulders) for effective drainage/percolation.
The Engineer reserves the right to improve the drainage condition as necessary
and/or warranted by County of Hawaii, Department of Public Works Engineer
and/or Inspector.
