Pursuant to the Governor's most recent proclamation, in
order to minimize physical contact and maximize social
distancing, this training session will
not be open to the public for in-person attendance.
This is to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
This session will be held by interactive video conference
through the Zoom platform.
Public Viewing and Providing Oral Testimony:
The public may access the meeting for viewing or to provide oral testimony via videoconference
through Zoom. For either, please email redistrictingcommission@hawaiicounty_.gov or call 808-
961-8020 no later than 12 noon,Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Please state in your email
whether you wish to provide oral testimony or view the proceedings. Upon receipt of the email,
there will be a response providing the access key along with brief instructions.
Written Testimony:
The Commission encourages the public to submit thoughts, comments, and input via written
testimony. To ensure timely delivery to Commission Members prior to the meeting, written
testimony must be submitted before 12 noon,Wednesday, September 29, 2021 by: (1) email to
redistrictingcommission@hawaiicounty_.gov, 2) facsimile to (808) 961-8673, or(3) mail to
Redistricting Commission, Office of the County Clerk, 25 Aupuni Street, Suite 1402, Hilo,
Hawaii 96720. All written testimony, regardless of time of receipt, will be part of the permanent
record.
This session is duly publicly noticed to be an open training session on the online
redistricting tool (ESRI) for creating mapping plans at
htlps://redistricting.hawaii.esriemcs.com/redistricting/index.html.
The session is open to commissioners and interested members of the public.
No actions by the commission will occur during this session.

Training session participation available to the public:
The Commission welcomes the public to virtually participate in this session live via
videoconference through the Zoom platform. To request access, please email
redistrictingcommission@hawaiicounty..gov or call 808-961-8020 no later than 12 noon,
Wednesday, September 29, 2021. Upon receipt of the email, there will be a response providing
the access key along with brief instructions.
Live viewing of the session:
The public option to view-only this training session live will be available via the Commission's
YouTube channel at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYzBy9MDfzQXm2ygg2sklag.
Please be advised that this option will not have interaction capabilities. While staff will attempt
to monitor the comment feature of the channel site, we do not assure being responsive on this
platform live.
