This application must be accompanied by one set of presentation size(recommended 24'x 361 and eleven sets
of reduced size(recommended either 11"x 17"or 8-1/2"x 11')of the site plan drawings(same information as
required for Plan Approval application;see attached). For presentation to the Kallua Village Design Commission,
the applicants should make certain that the following are also clearly depicted In the submitted drawings:
(1) Site plan showing TMK parcel boundaries,and showing existing and proposed building locations;
(2) Building elevations showing the architectural design of the building exteriors,depicting or describing
proposed exterior colors and materials. Notation of ground elevation with contour lines or selected spot
elevations Is recommended. Earth tone colors are recommended. Color samples should be provided. If
reasonable and appropriate,samples of exterior building materials may be provided;and
(3) Location,design,and colors of proposed sign(s),if any,
All submitted drawings and samples of colorstmalerials will not be returned.

SUBJECT. Letter of Authorization -Tenant Improvements for Unit #1104
Aloha Mr. McCowatt,
As the owner of the Ground Lease for Kona Square (Address: 75-5669 ALII DRIVE , TMK:
7-5-006:025), we are permitted via our lease agreement with the Sarah Akona Partnership to
"sublet any parts of the existing improvements on the demised land or of any newly constructed
improvements" without consent of the Lessor. As we have leased the outdoor area in front of
Unit#1104 to SPINNERS DAIQUIRI BAR & LOUNGE, their permitted use shall require
improvements to be made in said outdoor area as defined by their lease to comply with City &
County of Hawaii codes.
To design, facilitate, and oversee these improvements, Kona Square Associates approves
retaining William McCowatt as their AGENT for the following:
1. Plan Approval, Design Approval & Shoreline Management Area As-
sessment application.
2. Building Permit Application.
3. Construction supervision.
William McCowatt is authorized to request any information, discuss any aspect or sign
any document related to the above referenced parcel for the purposes stated.
