While this measure primarily impacts the operations of the Finance Department, to which we will defer, abandoned vehicles are a visual blight on our landscape, degrade our island environment, and burden taxpayers with the cost of disposal. DEM supports the intent of this bill to ensure that the scofflaws who abandon these vehicles are responsible for its proper disposal.
