Keohokapu-Lee Loy, Council Memb Council District 3 SUBJECT: Attendance and Discussions with Kamehameha Schools on Hawaii County District Priorities, January 8, 2021 In accordance with Hawaii Revised Statutes 92-2.5(e), I am reporting the attendance of myself, Council Members Ashley Kierkiewicz, Holeka Inaba, Tim Richards, and Rebecca Villegas at the above-referenced virtual meeting. Council Member Villegas left the meeting after giving basic introductions. The goal of the meeting was for Kamehameha Schools to share relevant priorities, and educational and `aina-based strategies across Hawaii Island, and an opportunity for collaboration. The discussion did not cover any specific pending agenda item. Hawaii Revised Statues §92-2.5(e) states that two or more members of a board, but less than quorum,may attend an informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official board business, including a meeting or another entity, legislative hearing, convention, seminar, or community meeting; provided that the meeting or presentation is not specifically and exclusively organized for or directed toward members of the board. The section further provides that at the next duly notice meeting ofthe board, the board members shall report their attendance and the matters presented and discussed.
