RESOLUTION NO. 470 18
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR A SUMMER VOLLEYBALL OFFICIATING
CLINIC.
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation plans,
conducts, arranges, and promotes organized recreation and athletics for all age groups at
recreation centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, the Recreation Division is planning a volleyball officiating clinic in
summer 2018 to provide high-level training to Hawai`i Island volleyball officials at all levels of
the sport; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to assist with
airfare and lodging expenses to bring a volleyball officiating professional from the U.S.
mainland to Hilo to lead the clinic; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to assist with airfare and lodging expenses for a volleyball officiating
clinic.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
