RESOLUTION NO. 482 18
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE RODEO ARENA
AT THE PANA`EWA EQUESTRIAN CENTER.
WHEREAS,the rodeo arena at the Department of Parks and Recreation's Pana`ewa
Equestrian Center supports rodeo practices and events year-round; and
WHEREAS,the rodeo arena is in need of repairs and safety improvements, including
replenishing cinder, replacing cattle pen gates, and replacing plywood around the cattle chute
and the arena; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to assist with
the cost of materials and supplies for improvements to the rodeo arena; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to assist with the cost of materials and supplies for improvements to the
rodeo arena at the Pana`ewa Equestrian Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council ofthe County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
