RESOLUTION NO. 508 18
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE FITNESS EQUIPMENT FOR THE
PRINCESS ABIGAIL WAHIIKA`AHU`ULA KAWANANAKOA CENTER.
WHEREAS, the Princess Abigail Wahiika`ahu`ula Kawananakoa Center
Kawananakoa Center") is a Department of Parks and Recreation facility that serves as a social,
recreational, athletic, and community hub in Keaukaha; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation would like to purchase fitness
equipment for use by the public at Kawananakoa Center to promote physical fitness and good
health; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase
weights, weightlifting bars, medicine balls, and related accessories; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to assist with the cost ofpurchasing fitness equipment for the
Kawananakoa Center.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
