RESOLUTION NO.66 19
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT ANI `CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE PICKLEBALL EQUIPMENT FOR
THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION'S PARK FACILITIES IN
COUNCIL DISTRICT 3.
WHEREAS,pickleball is an enjoyable and fast-growing sport that requires minimal
equipment such as paddles, balls, line marking equipment, and a net; and
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation lacks funding to purchase the
appropriate pickleball equipment; and
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation supports the request for funds to
purchase equipment for use by pickleball enthusiasts in Council District 3; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to purchase pickleball equipment for use in park facilities in Council
District 3.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
