RESOLUTION NO. Da 20
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE DUGOUTS AND
FENCING AT HUALANI PARK.
WHEREAS, Hualani Park is a Department of Parks and Recreation facility located
within the Hawaiian Homes community of Keaukaha; and
WHEREAS, with support from the Department of Parks and Recreation, a candidate for
Eagle Scout from Scouts BSA Troop 95, Aloha Council, proposes to replace the roofs of both
dugouts at Hualani Park, and to provide safety improvements along the fence line; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation will provide funding support for
supplies and materials, and collaborate with the Eagle Scout candidate, who is planning and
directing these improvements to fulfill a requirement to reach the rank of Eagle Scout; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation supports safe, clean, enjoyable,
accessible, and aesthetically pleasing facilities; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation to provide materials for the Eagle Scout Service Project at Hualani Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
