The County Planning Department will begin work on this plan by the end of this year. Establish current baseline of the number of kids that walk/bike to school. Working, with the schools and DPW, create a Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Action Plan that defines priority areas to improve the safety around schools by making improvements to the streets, encouraging physical activity through waking and bicycling.
