SUBJECT: Proposed Amendments to Bill No. 12; an Ordinance to Amend Ordinance No. 18-
68, as Amended,the Operating Budget for the County of Hawai`i for the Fiscal
Year Ending June 30, 2019.
Please see below proposed amendments to Bill No. 12. This amendment adds a new section
to identify certain allowable expenditures for the 2018 Lava Disaster Relief- Private account.
The proposed amendments are illustrated below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents
of Bill No. 12; material to be added is underscored.
1. A new section is inserted into Bill No. 12 as SECTION 3 to read as follows:
SECTION 3. Attached hereto and incorporated by reference is Exhibit A identifying a
list ofprojects to be funded. Any funds not identified by Exhibit A shall be expended on
projects that further assist with the 2018 lava disaster relief."
2. SECTION 3 is renamed as SECTION 4.
3. Exhibit A is attached to Bill No. 12 listing various projects to be funded.
A draft copy ofthe draft 2 ofthis bill that would result if these proposed amendments are
adopted is attached.

OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
ENDING JUNE 30,2019.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 18-68, as amended, is hereby further amended by
appropriating revenues in the following amount(s)to the fund(s) as set forth in Section 2.

SECTION 2. The foregoing amount(s) as specified in Section 1 hereof is/are hereby
