legislation with the purpose of providing adequate foreclosure protection for
beneficiaries of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920.
Attached is a resolution supporting Senate Bill No. 2526, Senate Bill No. 2826, or other
legislation with the purpose of providing adequate foreclosure protection for beneficiaries of the
Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920.
I am requesting a waiver from the appropriate Committee to allow placement of this item on the
next available Council agenda.

RE: Resolution No. 487-20 A Resolution supporting Senate Bill No. 2526, Senate Bill
No. 2826, or other legislation with the purpose of providing adequate foreclosure protection
for beneficiaries of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act of 1920.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 ofthe Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of Hawaii,
this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be waived from
the Governmental Relations & Economic Development Committee to the full Council for immediate
action. In reviewing this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval
is granted and the matter be placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event
this request is denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the
Governmental Relations & Economic Development Committee for placement on its future agenda.
