The enacting clause is amended to read as follows: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Keaukaha Community Association Inc. for a reimbursement of expenses related to [the 2020 Kuhio Day Celebration.] its community feeding program." 4. The BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED clause is amended to read as follows: BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council ofthe County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: 5,690 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief 5,690 CREDITED TO: 010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control 5,690 Public Programs 115 Misc. SL/ps Att. 2 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO KEAUKAHA COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION INC. FOR A REIMBURSEMENT OF EXPENSES RELATED TO ITS COMMUNITY FEEDING PROGRAM. WHEREAS, Keaukaha Community Association Inc. (KCAI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that supports the programs and activities of the Hawaiian homestead community of Keaukaha; and WHEREAS, the extended closure of all Department of Education schools beginning March 23, 2020, in response to the COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) pandemic has resulted in a lack of feeding opportunities among vulnerable populations; and WHEREAS, KCAI is establishing a community feeding program to assist residents in the Keaukaha area with their nutritional needs; and WHEREAS, KCAI is requesting a reimbursement of funds for expenses related to its community feeding program, including food purchases and supplies required for meal preparation, serving, distribution, and cleanup; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports organizations that provide drug- free and alcohol-free events for the community; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) ofthe Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment,materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to Keaukaha Community Association Inc. for a reimbursement of expenses related to its community feeding program.
