SUBJECT: Request for briefing on lighting ordinance.
I am requesting approximately 30 minutes for a discussion and briefing with the Department of
Public Works regarding the department's approval of outdoor lighting fixtures under Chapter 14,
Article 9 of the Hawaii County Code.
The scope ofthis discussion will include an update on the request by the owner of Waiakea
Center, Kona Coast Shopping Center, and Kona Crossroads shopping center to install new
lighting in the shopping centers' respective parking lots.
Please place this on appropriate Committee agenda.
