We want to give a big "THANK YOU" to each and every one of you for being so supportive and patient with the ERS program as we navigate through this pandemic. On that note, we are pleased to announce the restart of our senior classes on Monday, January 10, 2022. If you were previously enrolled in classes for Summer 2021 (July -August) that were cancelled, you will be automatically re -enrolled in these classes. No class fee will be collected for those classes if you previously paid. We will be doing phone calls to seniors that were enrolled to confirm enrollment. Seniors will also be able to register for multiple classes (no limit). Attached is the Winter 2022 Quarter schedule. Registration information for Keaau/Puna Classes: Will begin on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 10am at the Keaau Community Center (16-186 Pili Mua St. I<eaau, HI 96749). No early birds and registration will be drive-thru style from 10am-1pm. Please fill out registration form prior to drive-thru. Registration will remain open from December 13-January 21, 2022 and forms can be dropped off at the Keaau Community Center office, Mondays -Fridays from 7:45am-4:30pm. Class Schedules and registration forms are available at the Keaau Community Center and Kamana Senior Center. We kindly ask that everyone stay positive during this challenging time of our reopening of our program. We appreciate all of your continued support and look forward to seeing you in the New Year! ENROLLMENT: Registration will be closed when class limit is met. Class size is dependent on room size and student/teacher ratio. You will need an Elderlv Activities Division Senior Identification card to participate in activities. If you do not have an identification card please call the ERS office to schedule an apt. ERS Release of Claims/Emergencv Information Form must be completed prior to starting activities. SAFETY PROTOCOLS: Each participant will be required to wear their masks upon entering facility. Masks will not be required to be worn during classes that require any type of physical activity (ex: Zumba, Yoga, etc.). If you are feeling ill please refrain from attending classes. Hand sanitization stations will be made available at every class. LOCATIONS: RR, AB, Room 2 and Patio are rooms located at Kamana Senior Center. If a location is listed and you need assistance with directions please call the ERS office at #961-8710. WINTER REGISTRATION: General public registration will start Wednesday, December 15, 2021 @ 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium - Drive-Thru Only. Registration will continue through Friday, January 21, 2022 at Kamana Senior Center. NO REGISTRATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER JANUARY 21. PLEASE, NO REGISTRATION BY TELEPHONE. Register by writing your name, telephone #, email address and classes you are requesting on the class registration sheet. You may register for multiple classes. Payment will be collected when classes begins. If you decide to drop the course before the 2nd class, please call the ERS office at 961-8710 & "no shows" will be removed from the attendance after the 2nd class. *IF YOU WERE REGISTERED FOR SUMMER 2021 CLASSES YOU WILL BE RE -ENROLLED IN YOUR CLASS AND NO PAYMENT WILL BE COLLECTED FOR THAT CLASS. SPRING QTR: Registration begins Monday, MARCH 14, 2022 and end on Friday, APRIL 8, 2022 with classes beginning on Monday, MARCH 28, 2022. COSTS: Participants will be required to pay a registration fee per class. The fee will be $10.00 for the entire session whether it's 8, 9, or 10 classes and will be collected at the first and second class. Classes that are 2 hours or more will be $20 per class. The monies will be used to support all programs and ERS activities. No refunds after the second class. Do NOT pay in office. Please pay in class. If paying with cash please bring exact change. If paying by check make checks out to: County Director of Finance. Credit Cards not accepted.
