CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Michael Hughes called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.
Present were Board Members: Michael Hughes, Diane Blancett-Maddock, Nelson Harano, Michael
Okumoto, and Dale Tokuuke; Deputy Corporation Counsel Sinclair Salas-Ferguson; Real Property Tax
Administrator Lisa Miura, and Real Property Appeals Board Clerk Sherlyn Aronce.
STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC
There were no statements from the public.
APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES
The members were provided with copies of the July 13, 14, 20, 21, August 10, 17 and 18, 2021 meeting
minutes. (Minutes were also emailed to the members a few weeks prior for their review.) There were no
corrections noted. A call for questions was made.
Ms. Blancett-Maddock moved to accept the July 13, 14, 20 and 21 minutes as presented.
Seconded by Mr. Harano. A call for discussion was made. Motion passed by a vote of 5:0.
Ms. Blancett-Maddock moved to accept the August 10, 17 and 18 minutes as presented.
Seconded by Mr. Harano. A call for discussion was made. Motion passed by a vote of 5:0.
COMPLAINT HEARING:
The Board was informed that there were no complaints filed and received for 2021. A call for questions
was made.
ANNUAL REPORT
The Board reviewed the 2020 Annual Report to the Mayor's Office and County Council. Noted were edits
and additions to include for this year's Annual Report.
GENERAL RPT TRAINING / WORKSHOP
None were discussed.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
The County and members of the Board expressed their appreciation for Mr. Michael Hughes's service to
the County for the past five years. Mr. Hughes's term expires on December 31, 2021.
ADJOURNMENT:
Meeting was adjourned at 10:35 a.m.
