WINDWARD PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br /> MINUTES <br /> APRIL 7, 2022 <br /> The Windward Planning Commission met in regular session at 9:01 a.m., with Chairman <br /> Dean Au presiding. Pursuant to Act 220, Session Laws of Hawaii 2021, effective January 1, <br /> 2022, this meeting was held online, with live stream video for the public to observe the meeting <br /> and with the County of Hawaii Aupuni Center Conference Room open to the public as an in- <br /> person meeting site. <br /> COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Dean Au, Michelle Galimba, Gilbert Aguinaldo, Lauren Balog, <br /> Wayne De Luz, and Dennis Lin <br /> ALSO IN ATTENDANCE: Malia Kekai, Esq. (Counsel for the Commission), Jean Campbell, <br /> Esq. (Counsel for the Planning Department), Zendo Kern (Planning Director), Maija Jackson <br /> (Planning Program Manager), Christian Kay (Planner), Alex Roy (Planner) and Noriko Sauer <br /> (Secretary to Boards and Commissions) <br /> A quorum was present. Chairman Au called the meeting to order. He described the public <br /> accessibility to this meeting and the protocol for the participants to follow. <br /> Chairman Au called the roll of the Commissioners and introduced the staff. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> At 9:05 a.m. the Commission took up the minutes of the March 3, 2022, Windward Planning <br /> Commission meeting. No corrections were offered. It was moved by Commissioner Lin and <br /> seconded by Commissioner Aguinaldo that the minutes be approved as submitted. A voice vote <br /> was taken, and the motion carried with all in favor, and none opposed. <br /> STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS <br /> At 9:06 a.m. Chairman Au stated there were one (1) member of the public who wished to <br /> provide verbal testimony. It was confirmed with Planner Christian Kay there were no members <br /> of the public at the County of Hawaii Aupuni Center Conference Room. <br /> Chairman Au called upon the testifier, swore the individual in to tell the truth in their testimony <br /> and explained the procedure. <br /> At 9:07 a.m. Council Member Heather Kimball provided testimony regarding New Business <br /> Item 1, the application of HOLCOMB FAMILY TRUST (PL-SMA-2021-000007) The <br /> testimony ended at 9:11 a.m. [SEE TESTIMONY TRANSCRIPT EXHIBIT A] <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> Windward Planning Commission <br /> April 7,2022 Minutes <br />
