NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Public Access, Open Space, and Natural Resources Preservation
Commission (PONC) of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of the Hawaii Revised
Statues Chapter 92, the Hawaii County Code Chapter 2-215, and the Commission's Rules of Practice
and Proceedure.

AGENDA
1. CALL TO ORDER:
CHR. KELEPOLO to take Commission roll call and review meeting procedures.
(Please turn off your cell phones or set them to silent mode.)
II. OFFICE OF THE MAYOR:
Mayor Mitchell D. Roth to address the commission in support of the PONC Program.
III. PUBLIC TESTIMONY:
Public testimony regarding agenda items may be submitted to the Commission orally or in
writing. Oral testimony may be presented either at the outset of this meeting or immediately
prior to the applicable agenda item. CHR. KELEPOLO may limit public testimony to 3 minutes
per testifier for each agenda item.

Hawai'i County PONC. Copies of the proposed revisions are available to the public
for review either via the Board Packet or by request to the Commission Secretary.
VIII. ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. The 2022 Prioritized List Summaries are due to secretary by October 21, 2022.
2. The next public meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.
at the West Hawaii Civic Center, 74-5044 Keohokalole Hwy, Building G,
Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.
3. Suggest items for the Monday, September 12, 2022, agenda.

SUBMITTING TESTIMONY
The Commission encourages the public to submit thoughts, comments, and input via written testimony
on agenda items. To ensure timely delivery to its members prior to the meeting testimonies must be
submitted no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, July 5, 2022, by (1) facsimile to (808) 961-8248; (2)
emailed: n t�or by (3) mail to the PONC Commission in Hilo at 25
Aupuni Street, Suite 1101, Hilo, Hawaii, 96720. Please submit separate testimony for each item.

NOTE: If you require an accommodation or auxiliary aid and/or services to participate
in this meeting (i.e., sign language interpreter, large print, etc.) please call 961-8069
as soon as possible, but no later than July 1, 2022.
NOTICE TO LOBBYISTS
If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawai'i County Clerk within five days of becoming
a lobbyist. (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawai'i County Code) A lobbyist means, "any individual
engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in
any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action
by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15, Section 2-
91.3(a) (6), Hawai'i County Code} Registration forms and expenditure report documents are
available at the Office of the County Clerk -Council 25 Aupuni Street, Hilo, Hawai'i 96720.
