NOTE: Pursuant to Act 220, Session Laws of Hawaii 2021, effective January 1, 2022, Cost of Government Commission meetings will be held online, and the location listed below is open to the public to provide testimony. "Pursuant to HRS §92-3, interested persons who want to provide oral testimony may do so either at the time the Commission takes public statements on items on the agenda or at the time the specific agenda item is called." Thus, the Cost of Government Commission can be viewed live on Zoom, or at the location listed below. Meeting minutes of the Cost of Government Commission will be posted on the Boards and Commissions website in the Cost of Government Commission folder. ANNOUNCEMENTS: The next meeting of the Cost of Government Commission will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at 2 p.m. by interactive video call via Zoom with in -person locations available for public access. 10. ADJOURNMENT Submitting Testimony: Those wishing to testify in person must register with the Commission Secretary at the meeting. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring ten (10) copies for distribution. Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five days of becoming a lobbyist {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code}. A lobbyist means "any individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275 in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." {Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6), Hawaii County Code} Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of the County Clerk, 25 Aupuni St., Room 1402, Hilo.
