NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Cost of Government
Commission of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, Hawai`i
Revised Statutes, Sections 5-2.2 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii, and the Commission's Rules of
Practice and Procedure.
NOTE: Pursuant to Act 220, Session Laws of Hawaii 2021, effective January 1, 2022, Cost of
Government Commission meetings will be held online, and the location listed below is open to the public
to provide testimony. Thus, the Cost of Government Commission can be viewed live on Zoom, or at the
location listed below. Meeting minutes of the Cost of Government Commission will be posted on the
Boards and Commissions website in the Cost of Govenunent Commission folder.

The next meeting of the Cost of Government Commission will be held on Thursday, August 25,
2022, at 2 p.m. by interactive video call via Zoom with in -person locations available for public
access.
9. ADJOURNMENT
Submittine Testimony. Those wishing to testify in person must register with the Commission
Secretary at the meeting. Those submitting written testimony at the meeting should bring ten (10) copies
for distribution. Testimony may be submitted by (1) mail to Cost of Government Commission c/o Office
of the Mayor, 25 Aupuni St., Suite 2603, Hilo, HI 96720; (2) by email to

separate testimony for each item. Copies will be distributed by the commission secretary at the meeting
only if they are received before Noon on the business day prior to the meeting. All oral and written
testimony will be public record.
Notice to Lobbyists: If you are a lobbyist, you must register with the Hawaii County Clerk within five
days of becoming a lobbyist (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(b), Hawaii County Code). A lobbyist means "any
individual engaged for pay or other consideration who spends more than five hours in any month or $275
in any six-month period for the purpose of attempting to influence legislative or administrative action by
communicating or urging others to communicate with public officials." (Article 15, Section 2-91.3(a) (6),
Hawaii County Code) Registration forms and expenditure report documents are available at the Office of
the County Clerk, 25 Aupuni St., Room 1402, Hilo.
Board Packet: Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 92-7.5, the board packet provided to
members of this board for this meeting is available for public inspection during regular business hours at
the Hilo Office of the Mayor, 25 Aupuni St., Suite 2603, Hilo, and at the Kona office of the Mayor, West
Hawaii Civic Center, 74-5044 Ane Keohokalole Hwy., Kailua-Kona.
