<br />Game Management Advisory Commission <br />County of Hawai’i <br />Minutes – final draft <br /> <br />Meeting Date/Time: July 19, 2022, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm <br />Place: By Zoom from the Office of the Mayor, 25 Aupuni Ctr., Suite 2603, and at the West <br />nd <br />Hawaii Civic Center, Bldg C, Conf. Rm. C, 2 FL., as the site for the public in-person <br />meeting. <br /> <br />1. CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm <br /> District 1 - Vacant <br /> District 2 - Kean Umeda, Via Zoom <br /> District 3 – Rhon Leomana Turalde, in-person - Hilo <br /> District 4 – Brian Ley – in person - Hilo <br /> District 5 - Abraham Antonio, in person - Hilo <br /> District 6 – Austin Griffey, in person - Kona <br /> District 7 - Vacant <br /> District 8 – Cortney Okumura, via Zoom <br /> District 9 - George Donev, via Zoom <br /> <br /> Quorum Established <br /> <br />STAFF: Diana Mellon-Lacey, Deputy Attorney, Corporation Counsel <br />Sylva Wan, Deputy Attorney, Corporation Counsel <br />Tim Hansen, Executive Assistant to Mayor Roth <br />Barbara Kossow, Administrative Specialist Mayor’s Kona Office <br /> <br />2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES: May 17, 2022 <br />Action: Motion made by L. Turalde to approve the May 17, 2022 minutes as circulated. <br />Seconded by B. Ley. Motion carried by voice vote, unanimously. <br /> <br />3. STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC ON AGENDA ITEMS: (Limited to 3 minutes). Chair Antonio <br />welcomes anyone that may want to say something regarding an agenda item may do so anytime <br />throughout the meeting. <br /> <br />Chair Antonio welcomed the following statements from the public. <br /> <br />Tara Rojas: <br />Aloha, I just want to say that, you know, as always, like the a’ole “HogStop” I did get to speak <br />with Kaui Lucas today and Lauren, the wife of Brad who is, you know, from “HogStop” and Kaui <br />said she did want to follow-up, touch base and have one like hybrid community meeting with <br />everybody on board – like the “HogStop” people, herself and then the community, the gatherers <br />so maybe, hopefully at the Waiwai so can be in person and on Zoom. And just, you know, a’ole <br />“HogStop” because what I heard just really needs to be brought to the broader community and <br />1 <br /> <br /> <br />
