Aloha Comissioners and mahalo for receiving my testimony about agenda
item VII – 1.
I am writing to express my strong support of Jennifer Navarra and the
presentation given by ZWHI on the agenda urging the commission to
recommend the County go after EPA federal funding that the County
can invest into our recycling and diversion infrastructure and
programs on island.
Jennifer and team have done a considerable amount of pro-bono leg work
thus far and are initiating a private/public partnership that can benefit the
County greatly. I would urge the commissioners to head the teamʻs
recommendations including the hiring of community facilitators and grant
writers.
