Aloha,
I support the hiring of a community facilitator to prepare our Island stakeholders in taking advantage of EPA
recycling infrastructure funding. I also support the hiring of a grant writer to take advantage of funding
opportunities. We are already a community where diverse groups - business, non-profits, education, Native
Hawaiian - support reducing solid waste and improving access to recycling, composting, and reuse. Please enable
Zero Waste Hawaii Island to become fully equipped with recourses and information to take advantage of upcoming
unprecedented access to federal funding in support of recycling and composting infrastructure development on
Hawaii Island.
