<br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING AND HEARINGS <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />COUNTY OF HAWAII <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the following matters to be considered by the Planning <br />Commission of the County of Hawaii in accordance with the provisions of Chapters 91 and 92, <br />Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 6-4.3 of the Charter of the County of Hawaii, and the Planning <br />Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure. <br />DATE: <br /> Friday, September 19, 2008 <br /> TIME: <br />9:00 a.m. <br />PLACE: <br />Hapuna Beach Prince Hotel <br /> 62-100 Kaunaoa Drive <br /> Kohala Coast, Hawaii <br />NEW BUSINESS – 9:00 a.m. <br />APPLICANT: OHANA KOHALA TRUST (REZ 552) <br />1. <br />Amendment to Condition C (Final Subdivision Approval) and Condition E (Access) of <br />Ordinance No. 95 119, which rezoned 24.9 acres of land from an Agricultural 20-acre <br />(A-20a) to an Agricultural 3-acre (A-3a) district. The property is located along the south <br />side of Ala Kahua Drive, approximately 7,650 feet east of the Ala Kahua Drive-Akoni <br />st <br />Pule Highway intersection, Kohala Estates Subdivision Unit 1, Kahua 1 and Waika, <br />North Kohala, Hawaii, TMK: 5-9-7:3. <br />APPLICANT: GREENWELL FARMS, INC. (SPP 08-000061) <br />2. <br />Special Permit to allow the establishment of seasonal farm worker housing for up to 50 <br />workers on 2 acres of land situated within the State Land Use Agricultural District. The <br />area involved is a part of the existing Greenwell Farms located along the makai side of <br />Mamalahoa Highway, approximately 2,500 feet south of the Mamalahoa Highway – <br />Halekii Street intersection, Kealakekua, South Kona, Hawaii, TMK: 8-1-4: Portion of 75. <br />APPLICANT: PACIFIC M0NARCH RESORTS (SMA 388) <br />3. <br />Amendment to Condition No. 3 (time to complete construction) of Special Management <br />Area Use Permit No. 388, which allowed the development of a commercial/condominium <br />complex and related improvements on 76,739 square feet of land. The property is located <br />on the makai side of Alii Drive bounded by Alii Drive and Kahakai Road, south of Royal <br />Kona Resort and north of Kona Reef Condominium, Puaa 3rd, North Kona, Hawaii, <br />TMK: 7-5-18:011. <br /> <br />
