August 2022 Public hearings to hear the Housing & Community Development Needs and
explain the CDBG & HOME-ARP proposal procedures and Consolidated/Action
Plan process.
08/16/22 Virtual Public Hearing at 10:00 a.m.
08/25/22 In-Person Public Hearing at OHCD Conference Room;
1990 Kinoole Street, Suite 104, Hilo at 1:00 p.m.
09/01/22 CDBG & HOME-ARP project proposals available.
11/15/22 CDBG & HOME-ARP project proposals due to the OHCD.
11/16/22 to 01/13/23 OHCD to review, rank and select CDBG & HOME-ARP projects for the County’s Action Plan to HUD.
01/25 to 02/02/23 OHCD to draft the County’s proposed 2023 Action Plan.
02/06/23 Public Notice appears in newspapers announcing the availability of the
proposed 2023 Action Plan for public review and comment.
02/06 to 03/07/23 Comment period for the County’s proposed 2023 Action Plan (30 days
required).
03/13/23 Deadline to submit documents for Hawai`i County Housing Agency (HCHA) and
Hawai`i County Finance Committee meetings.
04/04/23 HCHA and Finance meetings to approve the submittal of 2023 Action Plan.
04/19/23 Council meeting to authorize Mayor to sign and submit the County’s 2023
Action Plan to HUD.
05/01/23 Obtain Mayor’s signature.
05/04/23 Public Notice appears in newspapers summarizing the final 2023 Action Plan.
05/12/23 Submit 2023 Action Plan to HUD.
05/15/23 2023 Action Plan due.
